Since we went back to Greece earlier this Summer, we get to experience the Netherlands during August. We have been here before in June/July/August and I can assure you that the previous three summers the weather has been particularly cruel with expats coming from the Mediterranean, Mexico, India and in general hot summer destinations. It was rainy, it was cloudy, it was cold. As in “we need to open the heater” cold or as in “I need to wear my coat” cold. But this year has been different. During the week it was up to 31 C, but we had to work, so we could not head to Scheveningen, as we would like. But I had big plans for the weekend! Guess what? The temperature dropped. It is still around 23, but for me this is not “I will go into the sea (ocean)” temperature. Still it was sunny, so we decided to visit Delftse Hout, which is much closer to our place. We went there on foot to get some exercise as well, as our office lives do not exactly offer many opportunities to use our body in the way it was meant to be used.
I decided to post this short photo-post in the Travel category, as we might not be traveling to Delft, but other people might be interested to do that. And I do recommend it.

This is how I see the world through my sunglasses. I assure you that the lenses are brownish, so I am not sure where all the pink comes from. All people look sun burnt as well.

That’s what you see when you lie down at Delftse Hout, on top of you. I am a big fan of looking at the sun through foliage.
P.S.: I know I look like that. Or that. Or that. Have fun with it, while it lasts.
